I approached this race the same way I did at Utah Valley.  Try to keep the heart rate between 155 and 160 and see what kind of pace that got me.  As well as trying to keep up better on fuel intake.  I was wearing some new Kinvara's, hoping the miles I put in with my zero'd out launches would alleviate any achillies strain put on by the 4mm lift of the Kinvara's, which it did.  I'll post the splits later.  But I was able to keep the heart rate where I wanted. Set a new PR by 5 minutes from Utah Valley, and felt like I didn't really push myself.  So now I am wondering just how far I can push and still maintain fuel consumption, energy levels, over heating, etc.
